About the Author |
| Eric L. Dlugokinski, Ph.D., is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He began his professional career as a "street counselor" in the City of Detroit and has received awards and honors for distinguished service from several local and national groups. Those include chairing a Federal "High Risk" Youth grant review committee and receiving an award from the Oklahoma Psychological Association for Distinguished Contribution to the Public Interest. He received his Ph.D. from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Eric is a licensed psychologist and has worked in treatment and prevention of emotional disorders for over 30 years. He has authored over 25 books in Mental Health Education and Communication. Currently he teaches courses in Human Emotions and Communications at military bases around the world for Advanced Programs at the University of Oklahoma. He also writes a weekly column for the Daily Oklahoman - "Communication Corner." |
