About the Author

Lucy Hart Paulson, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a speech and language pathologist who has worked in public schools for many years while maintaining a private practice specializing in the treatment of phonological disorders in young children. She currently manages the Western Montana Scottish Rite Childhood Language Disorders Clinic at the University of Montana, which serves young children with communication challenges.

Rick van den Pol, Ph.D., serves as Director of the Division of Educational Research and Service at the University of Montana. He is a tenured professor of education and a research professor in the Department of Psychology. His areas of research include early intervention with tough-to-teach young children as well as preventing and managing school violence.

Summary

Teaching children appropriate social skills can increase confidence and prevent challenging behaviors. This resource contains fun group activities that give young people the opportunity to interact and learn valuable social skills.
