About the Author

Patricia Latham is a member of the panel of arbitrators and mediators of the American Arbitration Association serving as arbitrator and mediator in a wide range of commercial, employment, and international cases, serves on the panel of arbitrators of the New York Stock Exchange, has lectured at the Columbus School of Law, Catholic University of America, and has appeared on programs, including Court TV, to discuss legal topics. She serves on an advisory committee of the GED Testing Service and on the Board of Directors of Learning Disability Association of America. She is a member of the Virginia State Bar and is admitted to practice before the U. S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and the U. S. Supreme Court. She is a graduate of Swarthmore College, B.A. and the University of Chicago Law School, J.D.

Peter Latham has authored an extensive text on disputes involving military and other government contracts, has produced four videos on disability legal topics, has over twenty years experience in alternative dispute resolution, and served as a U. S. Navy officer during the war in Vietnam. He served at the U. S. Naval Support Activity, Da Nang, Vietnam (1968-69) and then as Trial and Defense Counsel, U. S. Naval Station, Washington, DC. He was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal (Combat "V") in 1969. He is admitted to the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the General Courts Martial of the Armed Forces of the United States. He is a graduate of Swarthmore College, B.A. and the University of Pennsylvania Law School, J.D.
