About the Author

Dr. McAfee is a physician who has a child of her own with high functioning autism and is internationally recognized for her work developing social-emotional skills training programs for individuals with high functioning autism, Asperger’s syndrome and related disorders.

Jeanette is the founder and director of Social Solutions, a private clinic in northern California through which she provides individual and group social-emotional skills training, school assessments and program development, and other consulting services. With her colleague, Amelia Davies, she has co-developed a drama program designed to teach social-emotional skills through the use of theatre arts.
